| Program Description |
Neil Griffiths is an experienced Head teacher in the UK; with many years of teaching experience, and an author of children’s books. As well as writing award-winning story books, Neil is also the creator of the very popular interactive Storysacks, and drama materials for children.
Neil Griffiths is an expert in story-telling. Inspirational and full of interaction when he reads stories, children are asked to participate and become part of them. In exploring their imagination, children will improve their reading skills while increasing their interest and competence in learning English.
In the summer of 2010, Fong Fong Projet d’Art developed and produced one of Neil’s storybooks “The Journey”, into an English Interactive touring performance for primary schools, with excellent results and feedback. We are now re-inviting the renowned expert from England; Neil Griffiths to visit Hong Kong during the period of 17 to 23 October 2011, to conduct workshops and share his experience with teachers, parents and children from Kindergarten level upwards.
Also, an interactive workshop and a lively story-telling session will be conducted by Neil Griffiths on 22 October for teachers. The workshop will help to foster interest in reading for children, as well as demonstrating and coaching how to read a story with quality, especially for children who are learning English as a second language.
The workshop and story-telling session will be conducted in English.
