Squirrel has hidden his nuts in a cave, but he’s scared to get them himself. Who will help him get them out, and win the reward? Read page 1 and 2 of the story "The Monster in the Cave". Can you guess what will happen? Work with your classmates to write up the story.

Ways to write: Each of you follow the previous dialogues and write 4-6 new dialogues (e.g. Elephant: I …  Tiger: Yes, …. ) . Then the other classmate can follow what has been written and write another 4-6 dialogues. After that, your class can write up a very long story.

Scene 1
(Elephant, Tiger and Mouse are out for a walk. They come to a house.)

Elephant: Who lives in this house?
Mouse: My friend Squirrel lives here.
Tiger: Look, there’s a notice on the door. What’s that word beginning with R? Can you read, Elephant?
Elephant: Er, yes, but the sun is too bright today.
Mouse: I can read! The word is "Reward!"
Tiger: That sounds good! What else does the notice say?
Mouse: It says, "Are you big? Are you brave? Can you find the nuts in the cave?"
