考生表現分析撮要

公開考試
整體而言,考生的能力差異相當明顯,以下為每卷的表現:

卷一: 閱讀能力

卷二: 寫作能力
主要考核考生構思、表達、創作等能力。本年共設三題,考生只須選答一題,作文一篇,字數不得少
於650 字。卷二採雙評制評卷,而且分題評改。

卷三: 聆聽能力
考核考生辨明說話者立場、觀點、論據、說話技巧、語氣等聆聽能力。

卷四: 說話能力
甲部 朗讀
乙部 口語溝通

卷五: 綜合能力考核
考核考生聆聽、閱讀、理解、組織、文字表達等能力。考生須聆聽一段錄音,再閱讀有關資料,然後完成寫作任務,字數不得少於500 字。
整體而言,考生審題能力不俗,多能了解試題任務,離題者甚少。整合拓展能力不俗,但見解論證則較遜色。錯別字仍然常見。

Analysis on Candidates’ Performance

General Recommendations

Reading widely and critically would help address a substantial number of the flaws or imperfections.

Candidates should gain an understanding of the whole text before answering individual questions.

Candidates should read the questions carefully as this will help them to address the questions fully; particularly those that comprise different components.

When attempting Listening tests, candidates should spend the preparation time looking carefully at the task and trying to predict what the missing information might be. They should also familiarize themselves with the organization and arrangement of the headings or bullet points, etc. so that they have an idea of where to position relevant answers when the recording begins. While listening, candidates should think about their role and focus on the essential content indicated in the task instructions and layout.

Candidates should analyse the task instructions to understand the purpose of the writing task and identify the target audience. After locating the information, based on their pre-writing analyses, candidates should decide whether very specific information needs to be included and whether some information needs to be synthesised. They should remember that simply lifting large parts of a source text verbatim only illustrates their lack of judgement in selecting relevant information to complete the task requirements.

Candidates need to be committed to use the English language in the many subject areas and situations they have at school and outside the confines of the school. Oral practice can range from individual practice to cooperative sessions where interaction skills need to come into play.

評卷方法
通識教育科試題採用雙閱卷員制閱卷,即每條題目由兩位閱卷員獨立評改,當兩位閱卷員的評核結果有較大差距時,會由第三位閱卷員評改,而每位閱卷員只負責評核一條題目。閱卷員不會視評卷參考為標準答案,只要言之成理,其他答案亦可給分。評卷時,閱卷員會採用正面評分的方法,就考生實質的答案給予分數,而非以固定/預設的答案作評分考慮。立場及觀點沒有對錯之分,考生可就議題持任何立場。閱卷員在評卷時不會考慮考生的觀點「是否正確」或與閱卷員的觀點「有多接近」,而只會考慮考生是否能充分論證其觀點。

一般評論:

就相關知識而言,考生大致熟知課程的課題。他們熟悉不同議題,卻未能恰切掌握這些議題背後的價值觀和概念。不少考生在討論題目時未能指出及採用有關的價值觀和概念,因而答案欠缺深度。不少答案均流於片面。學生應以不同角度,拓寬分析範圍。

至於技巧方面,考生應採取全面角度解讀數據及資訊。不少考生未能概括數據反映的整體形勢或情況。相當多考生僅集中討論一組數據,未有比較和綜合各組數據,因而錯誤闡釋數據甚或整道題目的重心。卷一的 1(a) 、 2(b) 和 3(a) 均出現這問題。

另一問題是答題時的主觀性。考生應在論證時考慮相反論點,作出判斷。卷二的題目要求考生作更為詳細的分析,惟相當多考生的答案流於片面,又或僅列出支持及相反論點而未有嘗試比較及評價不同論據。

The overall performance of S.3 students was satisfactory. Performance was steady in Number and Algebra Dimension, Measures, Shape and Space Dimension and Data Handling Dimension.

 

二○一二年全港性系統評估報告
教育局今日(二○一二年十月三十一日)接獲由香港考試及評核局(考評局)提交的二○一二年全港性系統評估報告。考評局稍後會向各學校發放學校層面數據,以供學校作改善教學之用。
今年共有約十二萬四千名小三及中三級別的學生參與系統評估,他們在中國語文、英國語文、數學三個主要科目均表現平穩。

2012 Territory-wide System Assessment Report
The Education Bureau today (October 31, 2012) received from the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) the report of the 2012 Territory-wide System Assessment (TSA). The HKEAA will provide school level data to schools shortly for school improvement purposes.   
Some 124,000 students at Primary 3 and Secondary 3 levels took part in the TSA this year. Their performance in the three core subjects of Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics is steady.

They cover the three subjects of Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics.

To provide the Government and school management with information on school standards in key learning areas for the purposes of school improvement so that the Government would be able to provide support to those schools in need of assistance.
To enable participating teachers to understand the key process involved in making sense of the data and facilitate teachers’ effective use of TSA results to inform learning and teaching.

2012年中一入學前香港學科測驗的安排

測驗時間 Time of Test

正如教育局通函第88/2011號所公布,2012年中一入學前測驗將於2012年7月17日早上施行。
學校必須於上述日期按指定的時間,並依數學、英文和中文的次序施行測驗。
第一科(數學科)於上午9時開始、第二科(英文科)於上午10時20分開始,以及第三科(中文科)於上午11時40分開始。
As announced in the Education Bureau (EDB) Circular Memorandum No. 88/2011, the Test will be administered in the morning of 17 July 2012.
Schools must conduct the Test for the three subjects on 17 July 2012 at the specified time in the order of Mathematics, English and Chinese.
The first paper (Mathematics) will start at 9:00 am, the second paper (English) at 10:20 am and the third paper (Chinese) at 11:40 am.

教育局於通函第168/2011號公布,教育局會於暫停舉行中一入學前測驗的年份(即2013年),制定一份測驗卷連評卷參考,供各中學自由選擇採用。
學校可使用有關測驗的所得資料,識別中一新生在中文、英文和數學三科的強項和弱項,以便按學生的能力訂定適切的學習支援計畫。

As announced in the EDB Circular Memorandum No. 168/2011, the EDB will construct a set of test papers together with marking schemes for use by secondary schools on a voluntary basis in the year when Pre-S1 is temporarily suspended (i.e. 2013).
Schools may make use of the information obtained from Pre-S1 HKAT for identifying the strengths and weaknesses of their S1 entrants in the subjects of Chinese, English and Mathematics so that appropriate support measures could be designed.
Detailed arrangement will be announced later.

一說到寫作,不論老師和學生都感到頭痛。學生沒有動力去寫,也不懂要寫甚麼,更遑論寫得一手好文章了。老師縱然精心設計寫作課業,但面對文句不通,內容空洞的文章,也只能徒嘆奈何。

Further to our earlier letter dated 8 November 2011 on delivery of practice papers, I write to give you details about the briefing sessions on the practice papers of the 24 subjects, which are scheduled to be held from January to February 2012.
The briefing sessions aim to provide subject teachers with the following information: the requirements of the practice papers, the marking criteria, students’ general performance in the practice papers and samples of students’ performance.
This will provide useful feedback to teachers and students in preparation for the 2012 HKDSE Examination.

本通函旨在通告各中、小學,2012年至2014年有關小六全港性系統評估及中一入學前香港學科測驗的新安排。
The purpose of this circular memorandum is to inform primary and secondary schools of the new arrangements for Primary Six (P6) Territory-wide System Assessment (TSA) and Pre-Secondary One Hong Kong Attainment Test (Pre-S1 HKAT) from 2012 to 2014.

 

新安排 New Arrangements

為減輕小六考試頻次對學生構成的壓力,教育局在2011年11月15日宣布,已考慮檢討小六考核安排專責工作小組的建議,決定在2012年及2014年暫停舉行小六全港性系統評估;在2013年則暫停舉行中一入學前香港學科測驗。
With a view to relieving students’ pressure from frequent examinations at P6 immediately, the Education Bureau announced on 15 November 2011 that, after considering the recommendations of the Working Group on Review of P6 Assessment Arrangements, P6 TSA will be suspended in 2012 and 2014 while Pre-S1 HKAT will be suspended in 2013.

 

具體措施 Implementation Details

2012至2014年有關小六全港性系統評估的安排
Arrangements relating to P6 TSA from 2012 to 2014

鑑於仍有個別學校認為小六的評估數據有助教師檢視該校中、英、數的課程、教學策略及校內評估運作,故仍希望在2012及2014年(即小六全港性系統評估暫停舉行時)可自由選擇是否進行小六評估。
為回應此項訴求,個別學校在2012年及2014年仍可以自願形式進行小六評估及使用香港考試及評核局(考評局)的評卷連報告服務,但必須重申,這項並非全港性系統評估。
而由於這並非全港小六學生參與的全港性系統評估,不會有系統評估數據;學校報告只會有該校整體小六學生表現的數據。另外,考評局也可提供試卷連評卷參考給有興趣的學校參考。
As some individual schools opine that the assessment data of P6 is useful for their teachers to review the Chinese, English, Mathematics curricula, learning and teaching strategies, as well as internal assessment practices, they still hope to take part in P6 assessment on a voluntary basis in 2012 and 2014 (when P6 TSA is suspended).
To address their concerns, we will enable individual schools to participate in P6 assessment and make use of the marking and reporting services provided by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) on a voluntary basis in 2012 and 2014, bearing in mind that this assessment is not a territory-wide system assessment.
As this is not a territory-wide system assessment participated by all P6 students, no system level data will nor can be provided. The school report will only contain the overall student performance of P6 students of that school. HKEAA may also provide test papers and marking schemes for the reference of interested schools.

2013年有關中一入學前香港學科測驗的安排
Arrangements relating to Pre-S1 HKAT in 2013

現時中一入學前香港學科測驗每年舉辦,部份中學會使用所得資料識別中一新生在中、英、數三科的強項和弱項,以便按學生的能力訂定適切的學習支援計畫。
為此,教育局會於暫停舉行該測驗的年份(即2013年),制訂一份測驗卷連評卷參考,供學校自由選擇採用。
At present, Pre-S1 HKAT is administered annually, and some secondary schools will make use of the information obtained from Pre-S1 HKAT for identifying the strengths and weaknesses of their S1 entrants in the subjects of Chinese, English and Mathematics so that appropriate support measures could be designed.
Hence, the Education Bureau will construct a set of test papers together with marking schemes for use by secondary schools on a voluntary basis in the year when Pre-S1 HKAT is temporary suspended (i.e. 2013).
